This race  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tis sanctioned by USATF. All profits benefit Ski Apache  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tDisabled Skier program.<\/p>\n<h2>Times<\/h2>\n<p>\u2022 Race starts 8 a.m. sharp at Eagle Creek Sports  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tComplex.<br \/>\n\u2022 Relay buses will leave at 7.30 a.m. to drop off team  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tmembers at MM3.3, MM6, &amp; MM9.5.<\/p>\n<h2>Elevation &amp; Relief stations<\/h2>\n<p>\u2022 Start: 7319 feet<br \/>\n\u2022 MM3.3: 7608 feet (Water &amp; energy drink available)<br \/>\n\u2022 MM6: 8645 feet (Water &amp; energy drink available)<br \/>\n\u2022 MM9.5: 9959 feet (Water &amp; energy drink available)<br \/>\n\u2022 Finish at Ski Apache Plaza: 9970 feet<\/p>\n<h2>Age Groups<\/h2>\n<p>\u2022 Male &amp; Female: 19 &amp; under, 20-29, 30-39, 40- 49,  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t50-59, 60-69, 70 &amp;over.<br \/>\n\u2022 Relay Teams: Male, Female or Co-ed.<\/p>\n<h2>Registration &#8211; No registration on race day.<\/h2>\n<p><strong>By mail: <\/strong>Must be postmarked no later that  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tOct 13 , 2010. Box 561, Ruidoso,  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tNM 88355.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Internet registration:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.active.com\/event_detail.cfm?event_id=1828976\" target=\"_blank\"> Active.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Late Registration &amp; Packet pick-up<\/strong>:<br \/>\n\u2022 Friday, October 15th at Ruidoso Athletic Club, from  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t8:00 am till 5:00 pm, 415 Wingfield Street (575-257-4900  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tor 937-7106)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Costs:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 <strong>Solo<\/strong> $20 if postmarked by 9\/30\/10, $30 through  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t10\/14\/10. $50 on 10\/15\/10.<br \/>\n\u2022 <strong>Military\/Youth<\/strong> (under 19): $20 through 10\/14\/10.  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t$40 on 10\/15\/10.<br \/>\n\u2022 <strong>Relay<\/strong> Male\/Female\/Co-ed: $100 if postmarked  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tby 9\/30\/10, $130 through 10\/14\/10. $160 on 10\/15\/10.  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tMilitary Relay: $100 through 10\/14\/10. $160 on 10\/15\/10.<\/p>\n<h2>The Cause<\/h2>\n<p>Started in 1976, Ski Apache Disabled Skiers Program  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tis one of the oldest adaptive ski schools in the country.  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe goal of SADSP is to provide snow sports instruction  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tto any person with a permanent disability, regardless  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tof the type of extent of disability or financial limitations.  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tSADSP works with individuals, schools, NMSB &amp; VI, rehabilitation  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tcenters, occupational and physical therapy centers.<\/p>\n<h2>T-Shirts &amp; Awards &amp; Food<\/h2>\n<p>The first 3 overall Male &amp; Female winners will receive  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tproducts from Nathan Human Propulsion Laboratories (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nathansports.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">wwwNathanSports.com<\/a>)  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tand a carved Ruidoso bear. Awards to first, second and  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tthird male &amp; female in each age groups will be at the  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tdiscretion of the race director. All preregistered participants  \t\t\t\t\t\t\twill receive a commemorative T-shirt with their packet.  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tWe make every effort to have sufficient shirts for all  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tparticipants. Great food catered by Ski Apache will  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tbe available free of charge to runners &amp; volunteers  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tat the finish line (Ski Apache Plaza). Guests and spectators  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tmay purchase lunch.<\/p>\n<h2>Traffic Control and Safety<\/h2>\n<p>Since Hwy 532\/Ski Run Road ends at Ski Apache parking  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tlot (the finish line for the race), traffic will be  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tclosed to unauthorized vehicles from MM3 to MM12 from  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Starting at noon, shuttle buses will  \t\t\t\t\t\t\treturn finishers to the starting point of the race.  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tAny private\/unauthorized vehicles MUST start the drive  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tto the finish line before 8 a.m. and cannot come back  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tdown before noon. NO EXCEPTIONS.<\/p>\n<p>RUNNERS STAY ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD FOR THE ENTIRE  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tRACE! At this elevation, be prepared for the  \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\u201cunexpected.\u201d Weather can change suddenly. Participants  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tare encouraged to have adequate clothing available at  \t\t\t\t\t\t\tthe finish line.
